Father's Day Car

I love the older vintage looking patterns.  I  had some old transfer patterns of vintage cars, and I had to use one this year for a Father's Day project.

Father's Day Car

What you will need:
Frame
Scrapbook paper
Pattern or design
Graphite paper
Stylus
Markers, colored pens..

First, layer your papers:  scrapbook paper face up, graphite paper with the graphite down, and the design face up on top.  You may want to tape (with masking tape or painter tape) the design to the scrapbook paper, so it doesn't move.  Then, trace the design with the stylus.

This is what the design will look like:

Next, trace over the design with marker, pens, or whatever you want to use.

I added a tag underneath the picture.  To make the tag I just printed some text and cut it out, using two different colors of paper under it for contrast.

I put it in one of my moroccan frames, but you could put it in any kind or frame or even make a card out of it.

Thanks for stopping by!

  12. I thought it was embroidered at first. It is simpler yet still neat to drawl it on!
