Colorful Cabinet Doors

I recently came upon some different cabinet doors that I just had to do something with.  Do you ever just buy something because you know you want to create something even though you don't know what it is at the time?

Cabinet Door

What you will need:
Old cabinet doors
Paint
Sandpaper

I ended up doing different things with the different cabinet doors.

So, for a couple of them I cut some small strips of boards to fit into the cabinet frame and painted them some fun colors.

Then I sanded the boards a bit to make them rough.

After they were sanded I used some Faux Glaze mixed with a little brown acrylic paint, and antiqued the edges and a little on the inner part of the board also.
I also used untinted fauz glaze over the top.

I did basically the same thing to the cabinet door frame.  I painted them gray, sanded them a bit and applied a bit of faux glaze.

Then, I stapled the strips into the frames with an air stapler and added the metal embellishments

With the other cabinet door, I sprayed the door brown.

Then I painted it different colors and and the outer color gray.  I also roughed it up a bit.

Lastly I added the metal embellishments.

What would you do with old cabinet doors?

Thanks so much for stopping by!
