with it.
I started out with an old cabinet door.
I sprayed it with orange spray paint.
When it was dry, I sanded and roughed it up a bit.
I like to use a faux glaze that I have tinted with some brown acrylic paint. I applied it in small areas at a time and wiped it off rather quickly with a rag so it didn't give it a smeared look.
You can see where I added the faux glaze. It darkens it and gives it an antiqued look.
This is the leaf that I bought at the dollar store.
I took off the cardboard part of the leaf and used it as a pattern to cut out some scrapbook paper.
Then I made a banner using some small bunting pieces and some glitter letters.
I used a large needle and threaded some jute through the bunting pieces.
I added some upholstery tacks to the cabinet door and used them to wind the jute around.
Here it is all assembled!
