Fall Cabinet Door

I have been itching to make something new for fall!

Fall Decor

First I sprayed the frame with brown spray paint

Then I sprayed the frame with orange spray paint

After the frame dried, I sanded it a bit.

I like to use a faux glaze that I have tinted with some brown acrylic paint.  I applied it in small areas at a time and wiped it off rather quickly with a rag so it doesn't give it a smeared look.

When the frame was dried, I nailed some upholstery tacks in the corners and a couple down the sides.

I then, strung some jute around the upholstery tacks.

I didn't happen to get a picture of the frame before I started adding the banner!

Here are the instructions for the banner.
I used a triangle pattern and cut some triangles is 2 different sizes in a scrapbook paper.  I cut the largest triangle in the burlap scrapbook paper, and the triangle that was a little smaller in the orange scrapbook paper.

I then, used double sided tape to attache some old book paper to regular printer paper, so I could run it through my printer.

I then printed the letters for FALL out on the book pages.

I then used the smallest triangle and cut out the letters.

I punched some leaves out of scrapbook paper and attached them with little clothes pins.

I glued some some string to some small pine cones I had collected and tied them on.

What did you make for fall?

Thanks so much for stopping by!

  12. If I Had more time I"d be making your awesome Fall banner in frame. It is so cute and you made it look so easy and fun. Perfect for Fall. Will you have it up for Thanksgiving? Love having Fall decorations up for few weeks but tend to get tired of Christmas stuff up for few weeks. This year hubs will have to do decorating since I'll be having surgery on Dec.7th. Will be quiet and less flamboyantly decorated house this year but that's ok. Been making things to use and to give for gifts but not getting very far except spending too much time and money on supplies. If people don't get their gifts hope they can forgive me. Have wonderful week and Sunday
