Jewelry Hanger

My daughter loves to where jewelry, but her necklaces were tangled up in a drawer in an organizer on her dresser. I decided to  maker her a jewelry hanger to help her keep her necklaces untangled.  She loves it!

Jewelry

First, I took an ordinary cabinet door, drilled holes where I wanted the pegs and glued them in.  I also glued a wood embellishment in the middle.

Next, I painted the cabinet door a silvery/gray color.  I like a contrasting color under the top color.

Then, I painted it one of my favorite paint colors: Herloom White.  I painted a couple coats.

Next, I sanded it a bit to antique it.

Here is a picture of it before my daughter hung some of her jewelry on it.

My daughter was so excited to put here jewelry on it!

Thanks so much for stopping by!

  1. This is the prettiest jewelry hanger I have ever seen. It would be perfect for a Mother's Day gift.

  2. What a wonderful idea! I've been on the lookout for a place to hang my necklaces to prevent them from getting tangled. Now I don't have to keep looking -- I can make my own! I love it! Smiles, Linda at Paper Seedlings
