Upcycled Craft Containers

If you are a crafter like I am you are always looking for creative ways to store your supplies.
I found some really neat wood containers at I thrift store that needed a make over!

What you will need:
A container
Spray Paint - I used the zinsser primer
Paint for a hightlight
Sand Paper
Brush

First make sure your container is clean and then spray a few coats of primer and/or paint.

Next, after it has dried, sand it to give it give it an antiqued look.

I wanted to give it a bit more dimension, so I used to grey paint on the know and on the design.

I don't have a picture, but I decided to sand it a bit more after I the grey paint.

Hugs & Kisses Plate

I can't believe Valentine's Day is almost here.  I just had to finish a last minute decoration.

I used a charger that I had in craft supplies, vinyl chalkboard, and a designed a valentine saying in word.

I used vinyl chalkboard that I just stick to the plate, but you could just use chalkboard paint if you want.

I made sure the design would fit on the plate, and added the chalk.  I have a chalkboard tutorial HERE if you would like to see how I make my chalkboard designs.

I think it makes a fun Valentine decoration.
