Rustic Frame

I found a couple picture frames from a church yard sale last fall, and new they needed a make over.

Here is a picture of the frames after I bought them.

I started out by painting them in Heirloom white.

After I painted them, I antiqued them a little by sanding them.

I really like how the frames turned out, but now onto the wreaths.

I started out with a pool noodle that I had purchased from the Dollar Store and a small piece of poster board.

Next, I rolled the poster board up, and glued one end of it into one end of the pool noodle.

Then, I glued the other end of the poster board in the other end of the pool noodle.
I also put some clear tape over the seam to reinforce it.

Next, wound some green rustic ribbon around the wreath and added some pretty flowers.

To finish the frame, I measured the poster that was inside the frame and cut some weather wood paper the same size and stapled the paper in the frame and added the wreath.

Here is another version with a different wreath:

Spring Display Pedestals

I have been wanting to make a new fun Easter/Spring tablescape.

I started out with various candle sticks, cloche, and wood pieces.

I then used by favorite primer - Zinsser cover stain .  I decided I wanted them white, so I added a few coats of the primer and didn't add any other paint.

After the paint dried, I sanded the pedestal a bit.

Lastly I put in nests, eggs, bird, & butterfly.
